Description

Ive had this vase for a couple years now and you can tell its very old and has a mark on the bottom. I think its uniquely beautiful and would love to know more about it. Ive had a couple opinions from people but nothing I could find online helped me findout anything about it. If you look inside you can see each ring where its been hand made.

It dates from the turn of the 19th century and was probably originally sold as an undecorated blank. These were then hand decorated by who ever bought them, usually people taking pottery classes or a small decorating studio that decorated them for resale. Most like this one often sell at auction for less than $100.00.

also I was wondering if you noticed the gold color mons (crest) near the rim. They are also around the bottom, under the glaze so its hard to see from the picture. Also it is done with bright enamel paints,
