With books value is all about the fame of the author, the edition and condition of the book. As a general rule first editions in very good condition are the top of the heap. Stanley was a very famous Explorer and a signed first edition of this book can sell for over $10,000, with unsigned examples going for over $1200.00. I strongly suggest having yours examined to determine exactly what you have before offering it for sale or auction.
