I bought this at an estate sale for $30.00 about 9 years ago.  I know nothing about it.

Hello Heather.  This could be a sword from the 1700s and up.  It could aso be a chinese copy.  If possible remove handle from the blade and see if there are any markings on the tang under the handle.  I'd be glad to see if I can find any reference but markings under the handle will help greatly.  You can email me directly looneyshawn at gmail dot com if you'd like to.
