Experimental Hummel Figurine

By nickylew42, 8 June, 2017
Description

This Hummel porcelain figurine was acquired by my grandmother in Germany in the 1960s. A letter from Goebel products sent in 1999 informed her that the doll was designed by master sculptor Gerhard Skrobek in 1966, but not based on the artwork of Sister Hummel. The mark on the back is HX 328, 1966, and has the Goebel stamp. The rotating and music mechanisms of this figurine still work. Thank you for your time.
