Antique Chinese Field Marshal's chair

By ptimagine, 28 March, 2019
Description

I bought this from a Chinese gentleman who sells Asian pieces he ships to Europe from China to sell at auctions.  He was doing a fund raiser for the boosters club on the Naples Navy Base in Naples, Italy.  I believe it is original and not a reproduction.  It is made of wood and brass and the seat looks like things i've seen made from horsehair rope.  It folds up to be more portable.  He described it as a field marshal's chair used in battle to make the commander comfortable.

As the picture shows there is a crack in the wood on the back.  There are no markings.
