The W6TRW Swap Meet is ALWAYS on the LAST SATURDAY of the month no matter what — rain, shine, or holiday! The swap meet hours are 7:00 AM to 11:30 AM. The Swap Meet is located on the southeast corner of Aviation Blvd. and Space Park Drive (one traffic signal south of Marine Ave.).
The W6TRW Amateur Radio Club has been holding a monthly swap meet featuring the trade and sales of amateur radio and electronic items since 1978 as a fundraiser to support its activities.
The club charges sellers a fee based on the number of selling spaces they use while buyers are not charged for admission. Fees collected are used to pay the associated costs of putting on the event and to fund the activities of the club.
Vendors are required to limit their sales to amateur radio-related equipment and accessories, electronic items, parts and tools, and computers and related items. The sale of food or “general merchandise” is not allowed. The club charges vendors a fee based on the number of selling spaces they use while buyers are not charged for admission. The monthly swap meet sees an average of 130 – 150 vendors and approximately 2000 – 3000 buyers.
Want to get a ham radio license or upgrade? Amateur radio exams are given by Volunteer Examiners in the Building S Cafeteria (3 buildings east of the swap meet) from 10:00 AM to Noon. See the link below for more information on VE testing.
Management, operation, traffic control, and security of the swap meet are performed by volunteer members of the W6TRW Amateur Radio Club.
