Cast Iron Coat tree

Appraisal complete
Description I have an antique coat tree. It is made out of cast iron, painted black with a copper color undercoat. It is approx 68 inches tall. My mother bought this in an antique store 50 years ago. Wanted to see if anyone knows it’s approximate value and age and history of this item. Thank you.

Hi, most of these cast iron hall trees tend to date from the 1890 to about 1925. Values for them depend on whether they're marked by a noted Maker/Designer or not. For an unmarked one, like this example, we probably retail one like this four about $250.
