I'm still trying to come up with what to call the style of your pieces. They've got some Renaissance and Jacobean Revival going on (to me). I think you're right about the time period and veneers. It's hard to tell from photos. May bring $200 each at auction. A little more for the vanity if you have the coordinating seat.
