I am not sure of the details on this table but I would love to know even a little more about it. It was purchased in Memphis Tennessee through the J. Goldsmiths retailer. I am not sure of the date of purchase but I think it is somewhere around the 1890's. I cannot find anything anywhere on the manufacturer Wait Furniture Company in Portsmouth Ohio. I do know that J. Goldsmiths was in business in Memphis from the 1870's to the 1920's when they changed their name, again. The only records I could find on the Wait Furniture Company was a real estate record from the 1870s where they sold a warehouse building to another company (were they bought out?). I am ultimately looking for the value of the item as I have no use for it but cannot bring myself to give it away without knowing more or finding a good antiques dealer who would be able to care for it.

Based on your images this table dates from the first quarter of the 20th Century, and is what's called a " Colonial Revival" style example because it loosely copies Colonial style tablesin this case a mix of Queen Anne and Chippendale. Value wise- $500.00.
