Pattern: R1153 by Rosenthal - Continental [R R1153]
Description: Barrock, Floral Rim & Center,Gold Trim

12-place setting with dinner plate, salad plate, bread plate, soup bowl, fruit bowl, cup/saucer.

Additional serving pieces: large platter, small platter, serving bowl, gravy boat, sugar bowl and creamer.

Compatible, but slightly different, serving pieces: covered tureen, gravy boat, and serving bowl. (Same pattern number without the "V")

Nice set.

I have bought sets similar at auction and then had another buyer offer twice what I paid, (he was late) and had an arrainged sale; and took it.

I would seek to accumulate to the set and make it larger in the event that you are planning an equitable distribution with children. Buying a piece once a year at the holidays, and yes "using the set" with family is a great way to start.

People seeking to do what I suggest above will pay a premium for pieces such as these. While some argue that prices at Replacements are high, a buyer who wants the pieces will pay the premium.

I see Replacements Ltd have no items listed for your pattern, so sign up for their email updates and when you get tired of their ability to find pieces like this, tag them as spam.
