Drexel Dining Set

By JeanaO, 3 August, 2010
Description

This Drexel dining set was inhereted from a women we didn't even know. We don't know much about the piece or its worth. We need to sell it quickly as we have two small boys who are determined to damage the harp style chairs. Drexel is stamped on the bottom of the chairs (2 of which are "captains chairs") and, upon looking up various photos of other Drexel dining tables, we've determined that the table is also indeed a Drexel Heritage. The table comes with 2 removable leafs and both ends of the table fold down. This table can be as small as a 2 seater card table or expanded out to a 6 seater formal dining table. It also came with a 5 piece leather table cover (Imperial Table Pads.) Use the appropriate table covers according to the size/adjustment of the table.
The chairs are unfortunately in only good to fair condition due to my two kids constantly putting their food caked hands on them (one child even tried chewing on the back of one chair). One of the chair's "harp" is broken (it happened when the oldest son fell on it) but we've kept the pieces for restoration. The fabic on all chairs is still in excellent condition.
The table however, is also in excellent condition. It wobbles a little, but nothing a good "tightening of the bolts" won't cure. We've kept the table cover and a table cloth on the table so it hasn't received damage.
With just a bit of restoration on the chairs, this set will easily return to its original beautiful state.
I have more pictures than I was allowed to post here, if you want to see more.

Re: Drexel Dining Set

I am interested in these type of Drexel Harp-back chairs, are they still available?
