This beautiful serigraph bears the single image of a woman who gives the impression of being quite elegant and regal. She adorns a large hat that resembles those worn by the fine ladies attending the Kentucky Derby. She is wearing one elbow legnth white glove & clutches the other in her hand. It is softly done in white, sky blue and a pastel mauve with pastel mauve matting - professionally framed in a striking contrast of gloss black. In the lower right corner there is a single blue brushmark containing the artists signature "ELY"
I have been unsuccessul in my attempts to find reference to this piece or the artist. I'd be interested in learning the history & bio of this artist as well as a value for the serigraph.
I was given this as a gift a very long time ago. I believe it to be a vase made for the tourist trade. I am very unsure on the value. It is approx 6 inches tall and weighs 10.4 ounces.
