Japanese Metal Ashtrays

Category
General Antiques and Collectibles
Condition
Good
Description

This is a set of two matching Japanese metal ashtrays.  They have 'rests' for two cigarettes and have a very intricate pattern with a red design in the center.  I bought them from an antique shop in Bowling Green, Kentucky, approximately 20 years ago for about $5.00.

This set was brought back from Thailand in the early to mid 60's and given to my parents. My mom would like to sell this and needs to know approx. value and best place to sell. Has Budha like on handles with wood on handles too. Silver-toned brass clarinet

Category
Music and Music Instruments
Condition
Fair
Description

I have an old silver-toned brass clarinet in a black hard case.  The instrument is engraved "Ken Barger Mfg. Co." on the bell.  Above the company name is a larger inscription, "Ken".  The numbers "2577" are engraved under the lowest valve key and on the back of a long key midway down.  The numbers "44" are engraved beneath two other valve keys - one in the cork pad of the top key and one in the back of the metal key above the long key.

The case contains a Steel Ebonite mouthpiece, REG. U.S. Pat. Office, inscribed "Special" MADE FOR DICK STABILE.    It also includes a metal lyre and one reed in a cardboard holder imprinted as follows:  "Progress Publications, Omaha, NE, ReedRiteTM, Printed in USA.  There is a hand-written masking tape label on the bottom of the case reading "Walsenburg, Colo."
