Antique Lamps

Category
Glass
Condition
Good
Description

My grandmother was born in 1926 and she recently passed on July 10, 2013.  She always wondered if these glass lamps were worth anything.  They have a metal peice that holds the square glass shade so that it is hanging over the light bulb.

Old Antique Global Bookends

Category
General Antiques and Collectibles
Condition
Excellent
Description

I have a pair of old antique bookends with green velvet bottoms, and were made in Japan. The globes have the signs of the zodiac, and sea monsters in the map, with few countries labeled. Along the wooden gloe holders there are words, some of which include: zonatempmerd, zon torriba, zonatempsett and frddasetten. Would like to know any information and approximae values if known by anybody.

Wolverine Manufacturing Co. Library Table

Category
American Furniture
Condition
Excellent
Description

My table was manufactured by the Wolverine Manufacturing Co. of Detroit who made reproduction style Arts and Crafts furniture from the late 1800's through the early 1900's. The company specialized in tables, pedestals and cabinets for parlors and libraries. I have been able to collect this information from the internet. I purchased the table 37 years ago from an antique store in my area. My library table is in excellent condition as you can see from the photos. One of the attached photos shows the Wolverine Mfg. Co. label located inside the drawer. The table mesurements are: Height - 29", Width - 48" and Depth - 28 1/2". I believe the table is constructed of oak. To my knowledge the table has never been refinished.

Vintage Tablecloth?- Need help!!!

Category
Other
Condition
Excellent
Description

This is the best picture I could get at this time. I have what I believe to be a tablecloth from the 50's. It is about 40"x40". It was made by the Manes Fabrics Co., Inc. I believe it is a polyester/cotton blend. It is black and white. It includes celebrities from the 40's and 50's. (Laurel & Hardy, Honeymooners, King Kong) just to name a few that I recognize. This was my grandma's and I have had it for over 25 years but I know very little about it. Please help!!!

There are visible crease marks from being folded, but other than that it is in great condition!

Black Elephant Bank

Category
Other
Condition
Fair
Description

My wife and I acquired this item a few years ago from her grandmother who recently passed. She remembers having seen it at her grandmother's home as a child. From what she could gather it has been in her family for a very long time. I looked inside it with a flashlight and pulled scraps of newspaper from the 1930's. Other than it being in the family for a few generations, we know next to nothing about it or where it came from. We would greatly appreciate it if we could get some kind of information as to possibly who and where it was made. Thank you.
