Etched Crystal and sterling music box with 3 ivory dancers that spin on top. It winds up and plays a song which is familiar but I can not name it, I think it is a classical song, The base is crystal and the top is sterling. The dancers (3 couples) are I think, ivory.
I picked up this little Japanese Jewelry box among a few other things. I am not sure of the date, and therefore the value of it.
The lid is hinged with no latches. The inside, as can be seen in the pictures, is lined with what appears to be red velvet. There is a smaller inner compartment with its own lid. There is a mirror inside the main lid.
Condition is fair to good, with some of the images scratched on the lid and what appears to be insect damage. Again, see the pics.
My Uncle gave me these lamps from his parents home when he was preparing it to go up for sale. He says is parents bought them in the early 60's and they were quite expensive at that time. I'm having a difficult time finding anything like them on the internet and knowing next to nothing about antiques I have no idea what they are. They are a matching pair with no damage I can see. I have not really touched them for fear of doing the wrong thing to clean them
