I was wondering if you could value my basket glass vase. The trouble I have with glass is that I’m not sure whether it is a factory piece or a more collectable item.
MARKS:
The vase has a polished pontil mark at the bottom (see pictures). There are no factory marks on item.
CONSTRUCTION:
The glass handles has a number of bubbles inside which might possibly give indicate the imperfections of handmade glass?
The handles of the basket look like they have been applied onto the body of vase.
The white decorative colour is sandwiched in-between the main body of glass.
The glass is shiny, and is heavy for such a small item.
This lamp was my aunts. She had it for as long as I can remember and she passed in 2006. She was 94. It's in very good shape , , the Base is brass, the body is porcelin hand painted in gold trim, shade is in good shape outside with a small tear. The skirt on the inside of the shade is torn a little but still OK...
Early Victorian occasional table with rectangular 6.5 inches “box” top with rounded corners and a single drawer. The top of the table has burlwood veneer and measures 23.5 inches long by 19" wide. The drawer has a single keyhole with a brass lock and is 4" deep. The table is 28" tall and stands on a tapered octagonal base of burlwood veneered pine. The in-swept triangular platform base rests on inverted "mushroom cap" style feet. The drawer front is made of pine with a burlwood veneer and the base and sides of the drawer are made of pine with large uneven dovetails. The drawer lock looks like a simple skeleton key will open the brass lock. There are two large screws underneath the top and the brass locking mechanism has four screws in it with a deadbolt mechanism that must "lock" into a groove carved out of the wood in the top of the table. The drawer is exposed on the bottom -- there is no base
