I bought these at an antique store, the bottom of them must have had a soft fabric glued on at one point but came off over time. The history of these is unknown.
Found this at a yard sale. It is a brass pin that looks like a megaphone with a cow or ram on it. I think it looks like Elsie the Cow from Bordens but my husband says no! My mom said she thinks it might be something from the world's fair that they would have given out. Or possibly a cheerleader pin? It measures about 1 3/4" long. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
My grandmother got this mirror from an estate sale many years ago. It is very heavy and made from some type of wood oh though I am not sure of what kind. She gave it to me but we know nothing about it other then it is quite old. If anyone has any information such as type of wood, age, history, value, anything really it would be helpful. Thank you very much.
I was given this dish about 15 years ago. It was heavily tarnished - this is it's first cleaning. It's some kind of casserole dish, maybe for pot pies as the fitted edging would hold a crust in place. It has handles. It's obviously been well used in someone's kitchen. I don't know if it's silver or silver plate, but it weighs about 2 to 3 lbs. It's 14 1/2 inches long, 9 inches across and 2 1/4 inches deep. There is an oval logo above the date, but it's practically gone. However, there are four letters distinguishable on the lower right side - FANY. Also, the "D" that is stamped with the date is a small capital D which is underlined. I'd like to know what this dish was used for and whether it is silver or silver plate, and the manufacturer if possible.
I have a Deer tapestry and after searching for years on the internet i have never been able to find one to match it. I've seen some similar but none that match it I would like any info i can get on it. I was told by my mom that it was from a castle in germany.
