Hand-thrown pottery electric lamp

Category
Lamps and Chandeliers
Condition
Excellent
Description

Lamp body measures 16 inches tall and is about 8 inches wide. It is signed on the bottom.

Signature reads: S Lewis 1968. It is comprised of three parts: base , body, and crown?

I m not sure of the correct term, but it has a small light bulb inside the body as well as a socket on top for a normal bulb. It can alternate between both lights on or off  separately.

One of the bulbs inside does not light up.

 No lampshades were included.

I consider the condition excellent despite a repair that was made by the maker before the glaze was added.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Appraisal Request - Porcelain, Hand-painted Figurine Lamps, Circa WWII

Category
Ceramics and Porcelains
Condition
Excellent
Description

Pair of antique figurine lamps, passed down from my great grandparents.  The base appears to be handpainted porcelain, in perfect condition....only slight differences in the handpainted details but the figurines are the same.

Figurines are a male and female, the male is carrying some kind of bird in his left hand and the female is carrying a basket in her right hand.  There appears to be gold or silver detailing.

Both in excellent condition....the only imperfection is to the back of one of the bases...it appears that there was a small crack but it has been sealed and coated and is very sturdy and hardly noticeable.

The shades are the originals as well and do have several small tears but overall in good condition.

On the bottom is a red, handpainted "Made in Occupied Japan", so I am guessing around WWII era is when these lamps were made.

Both lamps work perfectly when plugged in.

I would like to know how much they are valued at and I would consider selling them.  Thank you very much for your help in advance!!

Old Mirror with dark stained wood

Category
American Furniture
Condition
Excellent
Description

Old mirror I came across.  I do not know much about it and I am hoping to find out approximately when it was made, and how much it is valued at.  When I found it was wrapped up and was tagged with "From Great Grandmas House".  On the back there is a list names, places, and birthdates from the family that goes back to the early decades of the 1900's.  All the names are in different handwritting so I am assuming it was written on there by each of those people as time went by.  Thats about all I know.
