I found this beautiful bowl sitting next to someones garbage! It has a unique shape to it that I have not been able to find in any other crystal bowls like it. Does anyone know the age of something like this and where they come from/ who makes them? :)
I have this piece or artwork from an estate auction. I cannot find out any info about the artist. It looks to be a watercolor on ink. Since I am not an artist, I'm not even sure about that. It is signed E M Morris '32, with love and best wishes always. Under the painting is "THE FISHER OF DREAMS". It is framed and measures 7 5/8" by 10 5/8". The frame looks to be made of some kind of black paper tape with painted gold soldering on the corners. The backing is some kind of hard thin board. Is this a watercolor on ink or could it be an illustration from a book that someone just signed or watercolored? I have searched everywhere and cannot find out anything. Thanks for any help you can offer.
This on perplexes me. It looks old, but not sure if it is truly that old. I'm not sure what the outside of the box is made of. I know the inside is lined with what looks to be cedar. I am looking for help with this one on approximate age, what exactly it is, what the outside is made of, and value. Also where it was made. I probably am way off but was thinking it may be from Egypt. I found somethings in it that hinted toward the previous owner may have taken a trip to Egypt. Thought they may have picked it up there. There are no marks anywhere on the box. Help.
I found this in a storage unit and am interested to know more about when and where it was made, and value. I am thinking it is a sewing box, but would be interested in know if I am correct on that as well. I don't know much about it. There is a neat handwritten letter that came inside it... don't know if it is connected with its history or not. But I am uploading a pic of the letter that you can read. It is in good shape except for one hinge on the top lid... the screws have come out. The hinge is still there.
