Carved Italian Renaissance Revival Hall Chair

Category
European Furniture
Description

A very brief, 20 yr. old appraisal identified this as a hand carved, Italian neo-classic chair.  We have seen some identified as renaissance revival hall chairs as well.  There is damage under the upper left cherub, a split in the rear support, what appears to be a split in the seat and possibly to the lower left gargoyle.  Any information on its origin, type of wood, age, advice regarding restoration and idea of value/asking price would be greatly appreciated.

China Tea Set

Category
China
Condition
Good
Description

This china tea set was handed down to me.  It has a teapot, 6 cups, and a large plate. They have a gold in color border and a dragon with chinese writing on all pieces. I was unsure if this is worth anything, or simply a memory. Thanks.

sewing machine

Condition
Good
Description

My mother in law just  passed away and when we were cleaning out her closet there was a westing house sewing machine style 955901-e. We are wondering what year it is and if it is worth anything. It is in good condition and has all of the different foot peddles with it.

La Mode Illustree with fabric accents

Category
Fine Art
Condition
Excellent
Description

This print is marked La Mode Illustree and in smaller print above it: Gilquin fils imp Paris 4, the shadow box frame measures 15 1/2" X 12 1/2". I've seen similar pictures online but none like this one. I'm not sure if it's an original or reproduction. The frame has been repainted, the print is a little yellowed but the fabric is in perfect condition which makes me wonder how old it is.

Thanks - Terri

antique hard wood arm chair w/ carved lions heads on back rest

Category
Furniture
Condition
Good
Description

I found this chair in a friends attic. It had been covered over in fabric and had been used in a childs room at one time then tossed up in the attic. It appears to be of hard  wood possible oak and has an embosed leather/horse hair stuffed  seat which at some point in time had a poor repair (leather patch tacked on to the original) done. It seems to have a striped fabric underneath (i assume its not original to the chair) holding the horse hair in. The seat itself is square in shape, wooden with a round hole where the padding(horse hair) is. I have not tried to remove either the top leather or bottom fabric to see what the whether its made that way or someone tried to pad the seat in a poor fashion. Any help would be greatly apreciated. I can get other info ie:dimensions, pictures or anything that might help in identifying the chair.
