A necklace and clip-on earring set. I have looked online for a long time, and have found the earrings, but only necklaces that were similar. Seashell theme. Signed by Kunio Matsumoto.
We picked up a coffee table and two end tables. We believe they are fench provicial but not sure. Also they have a tag that says Adams Always Fine Furniture and written on the back 5/50. They have glass tops on them. We were told they are from the 1940's.
I have a vase marked Douglass on the bottom. The item is actually more green than it looks in the pictures. It is about 5 inches tall and 5 inches wide at the base. It is in excellent condition without any cracks or chips. There is a screw and nut cast into the piece with the screw on the outside and the nut is cast into the inside. I do not know how old it is. The only information I could find on Douglass pottery is from the early 1900s in California. I dont know if this is from that company. Thank you for your time.
I have A Roos Cedar Chest with the tags still on the inside showing the date made and the $250.00 insurance for moth damage. Measures 43 1/2" Wide 18 1/2" Deep and 23" High. And had a felt line drawer that raises when the top is opened and a sliding drawer on the bottom. There is some slight damage where it appears some type of stain got into the top of the chest. It looks like a newspaper that was wet may have been set ontop.
What I believe makes this more desireable is that along with this I have 3 matching pieces of furniture by Roos. Two are what appears to be night stands of some sort and another would be a chest with 2 drawers that slide out. I have been trying to locate info on Roos and all I find is that the company made cedar chests only. Im trying to see if the matching pieces add value to the Roos Chest I have
I have a set of Dalrymple Bishop and Stonier Bisto England ceramic/porcelain blue and white, 11 large plates, 12 small plates [1 small plate has some discoloration from house fire] 1 large platter and 1 small platter [large platter has a couple very small black spots from fire] 1 large soup turren with feet, lid and ladle [ladle handle is cracked], 2 vegetable dishes without feet and 1 interchangeable lid. 1 gravy boat with cracked handle. Soup turrens and plates are all mint. No chips or cracks {except 1 small one I mentioned before} The plates have a "c" marked on them and soup turrens have a "10" imprinted in them.
I have endlessly looked on internet, gone to the library and looked at books, etc. and have found nothing on Dalrymple. I am very curious to find out what I have.
