Turner Wall Accessory Item 5506 V56 Ceconciliation Watercolor

Category
Fine Art
Condition
Good
Description

A watercolor of a young man with a young woman nesting on his chest, looks like she is sleeping, It could be either a couple or a young father holding his sleeping daughter.  It is simply signed in the lower right corner:  Sandy

The subject states:  Ceconciliation, NOT reconciliation

seems to be vintage to me, it is enclosed in a Glass frame, well built silver and black frame.

it is about 3' tall and 3' wide, or close to that measurement.

the art is on canvas and the color is mainly white, almost as if they also used chalk to accentrite the hair colors which are black.

Elie Nadelman Wooden Sculpture

Category
Folk Art
Condition
Excellent
Description

I have found 2 wooden sculptures approx. 12 1/2" tall that are signed on the bottom "Elie". I'm wondering if these are sculptures by Elie Nadelman? I've found a couple of images of Elie Nadelmans signature on the Internet and some of the lettering resembles the signature on the bottom of these pieces.

The sculptures appear to be African in subject. The first, which I will post here, is an African man playing a congo drum. Would love to hear any ideas on this. I will also post a pic of the signature on the bottom.

Thanks,

Tom

Native American horsehair rug

Category
Rugs and Carpets
Condition
Excellent
Description

I have two of these rugs they are identical they measure 3'11" wide by 11 feet long. They feel like they are made out of horsehair but I am unsure and they are hand woven. My great aunt's father purchased these rugs in the 1940s but she is unsure of the exact date. She thinks he purchased these rugs in New Mexico and that's why she thinks they are Native American. Rugs are in excellent condition no tears or stains they've been rolled up in plastic and moving paper since great grandfathers death in the 70's. My great aunt did not even know she still had these in storage until we just found them recently.

If anyone can tell me information about these rugs that would be great. I've been looking online and have been unable to come up with anything I cannot even tell what kind of bird is on the rug. We will entertain offers if anybody is interested in purchasing these rugs. Thank you.

oppenheimer and sherman fine luggage

Category
American Furniture
Condition
Good
Description

The outside of the luggage is in the not great condition. The leather handles are missing and there's a couple of pretty good size rips and cracks. The buckles and hinges are in great condition. But other than that the outside is okay. The inside is in fairly good condition, dirty though. I believe all the hangers are there and all the drawers not sure though.
