Porcelain Vase

Category
Asian Art
Condition
Good
Description

Some things I know about the vase:

- It is porcelain

- possibly Chinese

- location of item is Guam

- birds, flowers, and what seems to be a double "G" (one upside down) are handpainted on the vase

- few bubbles, other "imperfections" on vase are noticeable on exterior and interior.

- possibly 15" maybe more (haven't actually measured it with measurement tool)

I am curious to know any further details (history, value, etc) on this particular vase.

Thank you in advance. :)

China Cabinet and Dining Set

Category
American Furniture
Condition
Good
Description

I have a china cabinet that is 6 feet 10 inches high and 4 feet 10 inches wide. I'm not sure what wood it is, it does smell like cedar. It's a darker wood, with black paint splatters all over it (designed that way). Black paint designs on the glass doors. Two glass doors open on top but there are three sections. The top lights up with two light bulbs inside the cabinet. The bottom section is three doors, the right side is a double door opening. The left side has a drawer inside and has a picture of an Eagle and says next to it, "American of Martinsville".

The dining setis made of the same wood as the china cabinet. Black paint splatters all over it. Has a leaf extension included. 6 chairs with a yellow cusion on the bottom. I couldn't find any information on the china cabinet but I did find  tags on the chairs for the dining set. The tags say "American Furniture Co.,Inc. Hairston Street Martinsville, VA 24112 Reg. NO VA 531" and on the side of all the chairs and table it has the number 2470-461. I'm not sure if that will help? Thanks

Breck Girl

Category
Paintings
Condition
Excellent
Description

I have a 1960's? oil painting on masonite.15 1/4 inches x 19 inches.  It is not signed on the front.  It has what looks to be a w,some  brush strokes and then an s. on the back.  I am hoping this can be verified as a breck girl painting by ralph williams.  I have looked at several of his breck girl ads and it looks to be the same techniques.
