Hand carved Ram Head Settee

Category
Furniture
Condition
Good
Description

Was told this was handcarved in Italy. I paid $400 for. It is very intricately carved. The only marking is an old signature on the underneath. The cushion is Goose down. I know for a fact it was reupholstered. I really want to know if this is original or reproduction.

Etched Finger Bowl

Category
Glassware and Crystal
Condition
Good
Description

I have had this little bowl for many years and have tried to identify it repeatedly, with no success. It is about 4-1/2" in diameter and 2-1/2" deep and I am thinking it might be a finger bowl. It is very thin, delicate glass and the top 1-1/2" band is etched and painted with gold. The bottom section is vertically panelled with gold dots between the panels. The bottom is ground and polished.

Paine Furniture Boston sideboard/buffet

Category
Furniture
Condition
Excellent
Description

I believe that this is a late 1800's or and early 1900's piece of furniture that possibly is one of the earliest pieces they made.  It is in beautiful condition with very little imperfections.  Someone has forced the top left hand drawer open and broke a 2 inch piece off the inside frame that I have..  This buffet is 64 inches long, 46 inches high and 20 inches deep. The patina is all natural.  I think it is quarter oak and it is very heavy. The carving is all very deep and I attribute it to being hand carved but am not certain.  The top has 3 drawers..one long center and one short one on either side, two large center drawers and a door on each side. I would very much appreciate any and all information you could give me.  I would also appreciate the value of it.  See pictures that I have included for more details. The darker picture is the truer color of this piece of furniture.   Thank you in advance....Carol

Part of this felt like material has lost contact with the base. Still functional and not visible obtrusive. The Lamp has not been rewired and The Cordey marking is attached.
