Vintage Antique French Provencial Painted Panel Floor Screen Room Divider Horse Scene Scene Ladies Outside Woods

Category
Decorative Arts
Condition
Excellent
Description

Wow this floor screen is such a rare and unique decorator’s find. The warm golden tone colors make available a sophisticated air. I’ve used this as both a room divider and back ground panel for atmosphere. It’s a great conversational piece. Now this is not in new, mint condition. It resembles a treasure you would stumble upon in an ancient castle. So there are several scratches, scuffs, scrapes, dings and places where the painting detail has worn off. Noteworthy for character is the far right end panel. Here you will find a slight bend in the scene and possibly what you would call a dribble in the painting. Somehow, as time went on, something liquid was on the screen. The back of the screen is in one solid color, black. Also, there are a few “keep me attached to the wall wires” on the back of the screen. It's beautifully divided into four seperate panels.

I very much would like a history, any information and price value. Thank you!

Navajo Spirit Rug - 1940s?

Category
Rugs and Carpets
Condition
Excellent
Description

i believe this is a Navajo Spirit Rug.  I've been told by 4 experts (2 weavers, 2 dealers) it's authentic. But the age is something I am curious about.  An expert interested in buying the rug dated it at 1940s.

But because of the spider hole, I believe the rug is much older.  Spider holes were a defect and taken out of rugs long ago. Do you think this Navaho rug is much older, 1800s? Thank you!

antique bone budda necklace

Category
Jewelry and Gemstones
Condition
Good
Description

i have an old necklace that appears to be bone. the main pendant appears to be a carved budda but with a tan color, i have photos, it has 6 heavy carved beads. the carvings appear to be heads. each bead has a black bead with silver dots above and below the beads and pendant.  the beads and pendants are connected with what appears to be an unusual sterling silver link chain.  could you tell me about this chain?
