Did a reverse image search to figure out what this instrument is called. It has 15 strings and a guide imposed on the surface that indicates the note each string is supposed to be tuned to. Unlike other lap harps I saw pictures of online, this one does not have a hole in it for acoustics. There's nothing on it that indicates a brand or year. Any ideas on the worth would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for your time.
Ok S. Kirk and Sons around 1896 - 1914? Estrucan/castle/landscape pattern? With a swan finial? Teapot the does not have whatever it supposed to sit on, coffee pot and pitcher?
The tray is not the same pattern and all i have found so far on it is a "Y" underneath the handle.
My grandparents were jewlers who lik3d to travel, when they passed amongst other things I revived these, I was told to get them appraised and insured if I could. My parents didn't have alot of info to give other than it was from traveling around, and it was from either Japan or China most likely gotten. In the 40's-60's. Pretty wide guess but that's what I have. They could be worth nothing to be honest but most most of what my grandparents had was quality and fancy. There's 2 pictures made of gemstones and a cabinet that appears to be hand painted. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance
