I apologize but I know nothing about this item other than it has a small oblong sticker the says "Made in Italy". I is one of many item passed down to me from my grandparents. I have no idea how old it is other than I was born in 1956 and it has been around as long as I can remember.

Any information about its history or value would be greatly appreciated.

This is a 30" tall lamp from base to diffuser. It was my Grandmothers, who had these as a set, but I don't know what happened to the other one. The upper brass shaft goes into a pretty, white with pink hues, urn shaped porcelain body with gold trim (paint). Then it flows down to the Porcelain and brass metal base. Very eloquint victorian era design with flowers painted on urn and 2 different patterns on base. wife says its more of a cream color than white with pink hues.

I have twelve five-piece place settings of the above-mentioned china along with several serving pieces.  All the china is in excellent condition.

When my Dad was in the Air Force in Misawa, Japan in the late 1960's he bought 2 identicle Japanese tea sets and gave one to each of my grandmothers.  My maternal grandmother left her teases to me since I was born in Japan.  It has been sitting in a box in my basement for the past 20 years and I am wondering what it is worth.  There are five cups, sauces and plates, an tea pot and a creamer jar and sugar dish.  The porcelain is swirled with an eggshell color, along with purple , pink and bluish green hues.  There is gold on the rims of all of the pieces.  There is not a stamp of any kind on the bottoms.
