It is a large painted bowl. With naked children patting leopards. Some are holding staffs, jugs. The children are 2 dimensional.
The inside is painted yellow and white with a gold flower at the bottomt. here are horned male faces on either ends that act as handles.
I have a piece of Breccia Rhyolite weighing over a 1/4lb with an approximatly 1/8" vein of Turquoise running though. I found it in Copper Harbor, MI just off shore in Lake Superior.
Don't know anything about the history. I was given it by a relative. I haven't cleaned it as I am unsure how to without damaging the brass. It appears to be quite old. The bits move, but are a little bit stiff. It is housed in a wooden box, which has been engraved and has an anchor symbol.
