I found this necklace at a elderly snake lover's yard sale about 5 years ago. I too love snakes so I grabbed it up. I find it a pain to wear because of its rigidity though, its not very comfortable. The necklace is a snake, and it clasps in front by having its head go through its tail.
I don't know what kind of metal it is made out of, I have not tried to clean it up because of this. It seems to be hand made because of the irregularity of the scales, and the soldering of the tail?
Any info on this necklace would be appreciated, thank you.
Bought it from a local flea market. It came with no saucers. The first thing that striked me was the unique pink color and the enamel glazed motifs.
At home, had a much closer look, and there's two dragons and two lotus. Each dragon appears to be chasing a lotus. However so, one dragon has its tongue out and another seems to be turning it's body around towards its tail. At each of the dragon's mouth, there's 4 or 5 dots. The holder of cup looked like the scales of a dragon. The upper edge of the cup is lined with chinese styled square border.
The condition of the cup is worn with slightly chipped (as can be seen in the picture). The cup is very light, and suspected to be made of porcelain or bone china as when put against light, the cup is half translucent.
The cup doesn't have any manufacturer name on it. Am wondering whether it's custom made as well as the value of this cup?
Experts, enthusiasts, collectors, or anyone who might have an idea or two about these sort of cups are welcomed! Thanks in advance!!
