This is a original painting on wood. I know it's old, but, unfortunately, I never knew it's history. It is beautifully painted, with lifelike detail. I would love to hear from anyone who might know more about his style of Dress, or the painting's origins....Thanks, J
This is a land deed from the viola hotel and lodging house in nichloia idaho. Its dated december 1886 . I looked it up on the internet and found out this was a mining town named after the manager of the viola mines . Its population was about 1500 and was booming until about 1889 or so.
This chair is owned by my 92 year old father. He is looking to sell but we are unsure of value. The chair is in very nice condition. The arms have what look to be handcarved heads of some sort of animal? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
My father bought this item in a house clearance lot in Liverpool about 20 yrs ago - he held onto it because he found it very interesting but despite trying to research it he got nowhere.
It appears to be an ashtray, it has certainly been used as one. It is a bronze representation of Otaru Harour (an aerial view) and is quite detailed. It has some makers marks underneath but I have no idea what the characters mean.
I would just like some info about the item if possible - and an idea of value (if any)
