Dont know what culture this is modeled on. Its been sitting around my house and I have always wondered who manufactured it or if its real, fake or custom made. It has no markings that I have seen and appears to have some green coloring in someparts. Its quite heavy for a candleholder, only concern is how old it actually is. Glittering is the result of a family member who thought the thing needed some 'shine' and decided to empty some left over glitter spray paint can over the thing. Only thing I can tell on it it is that it has a screw so I dont think its that old. Still its nice to know.
This is a unique pair of pewter candlesticks by metalsmith Serge Nekrassoff, with a flower on top of each large base, and an unusual twisted stem. I paid $59 for the pair on ebay last year, but I see a wide variety of Nekrassoff pieces on sale at different prices, so I am not sure what their actual value is.
