We found this safe in the basement of an older home my father-in-law recently purchased. It is extremely heavy (estimate 600 lbs. + We are dreading the task of getting it up out of there. We were fortunate enough to also find the hand written combination in an upstairs closet of the home while cleaning. The combination works and this safe is fully functional. The pictures show everything I could describe. I have to think that this is a one of a kind item since the emblem calles it out as being the highest award - grand prize at the 1904 Louisana Purchase Exposition held in St. Louis. This item is for sale to the highest bidder, however we first intend to establish a fair value. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
This is a standing marigold carnival glass candy dish. The dish has a swiveled edge and I believe it is a rosalind design which is more valuable/rarer than normal carnival glass.
