ATTACHED ARE PICTURES OF TWO STATUES THAT WAS GIVEN TO MY MOTHER FROM HER AUNT. THERE IS NO WRITING ON THE STATUES. I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THEM. I THINK I REMEMBER HER TELLING MY MOTHER SHE GOT THEM ON SOME TRIP OVER SEAS. MY MOTHER HAS PASSED AWAY AND I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THEY ARE WORTH ANYTHING
I believe this is a piece made in turkey made of copper with some nice artwork. It used to have a handle but was lost during moving. It is a beautiful piece which I believe to be one of a kind.
W.C.Fields statue/figure/decanter found at a thrift shop. The top of his hats comes off, and it is open on the inside, (hollow) he is wearing a purple suit jacket, blue pants, black shoes and a black top hat with a cigar in hand. he is standing on a block that appears to be resembling a wood stand, that says "booze" across the front.
I just want to find out more about the picture's artist. He's not listed on the internet that I could find. I love the subject matter and how it is blurry up close, but better seen standing farther away. The texturing is kind of interesting as well. It rises almost 1/4" off the canvas in spots. Some of the paint is cracking. I'm not sure how much to pay for preservation especially since its likely not an expensive painting. Any more info would be appreciated.
the collection includes rare milkglass eyebaths one of which is by optrex, a rare pink tinged stemed eyebath and a grey tinged one, they are pictured on the right of the photo amongst the clear stemed eyebaths. There is also a red eyebath. Many are marked with a W or made in england.
