This sewing machine has sat in a rental house that a old lady rented for years and the sewing machine sat for over 10 or 15 years. she died and no one claimed it. So its sat at my house for 10 years or more. Maintained very well. Its one of the first electic white rotary sewing machine. Fires up very time.It has two of the hand Stitchers, plus all the things that go along with that. The original documents, manuals, receipts, theads, needles, key hole and straight sewing guides.
The cup is marked in red Limoge France in red and can't make out the mark. It looks like a raised gold floral design on it and its a turquoise color on the lower part of the cup and as it comes up the cup gets lighter in color unti it turns white and has a gold long handle which looks like bamboo and the cup is trimmed in gold around the rim. The saucer has like a scalloped edge in gold trim and is a turquoise color in the center and comes out to a white around the outer edge. It has swirl to the pattern. Its not smooth but indented. It has a single bamboo raised floral design with two flowers on a branch with a filler. The cup is marked with a green Limoge , an arrow pointed to the left and France under it and a red Elite with a mark shaped like a pocket and under it Limoge and under that France. The plate itself looks like a floral pedal from a distance and the cup has a pedal impression going upwards all around the cup. Its really light weight. And its also translucent on both pieces when held up to the light.
This is a 1848 pure silver collectible mug with a personalized inscription on the front with some designs as well. Its a little ilegible because i dont dare clean it but the local antique store says its authentic and has a nice color to it. Looking to sell or at least get a ballpark on what it might be worth to someone.
The surface is cracked underneath from regular wear and tear. it is somewhat yellowed, I cannot tell the year but there is gold trim around the outside.....It is oval shaped and has distintive ridges....My grandmother gave this to my mom, grandma has been dead for at least 40 years, so I am assuming it has to be at least that old if not more
