I am very interested in getting an appraisal on this Vanity/Mirror piece of furniture. I have no idea where to start in terms of asking price so all help is appreciated.
These are beautiful carved mother of pearl village scenes in which a villager is depicted leaving the village with his cart and then returning with his cart as well. They are in mint condition and from what I was able to gather from the family the Attorney and his wife vacationed in China where they were purchased.
Really beautiful pieceof furniture I really love. It was a gift from my husband. I don't know a whole lot about it. One person said it was from the 30's or 40's but he was not an antiquw appraiser. It looks like someone sanded the inside of 4 of the si drawers. I think someone intended to refinish it and I am SO glad they didn't. The outside of the desk is untouched and all I did was clean it up and polish it it. It has what I think is the original chair with it.
