I have pur. a partial set of Ch.Haviland Limoges china with the GDA, France mark and the double circle with reads:Ch. Haviland Limoges; Finest French; Ivory China. It also has a black ancient ship with the word Macy's in white letters on a black strip on the back of the plate. I am trying to locate other pieces so I need to know the pattern name or number. The color is ivory with a 3/4 inch gold band enbossed with flur de lue and other designs. The inside of the band has a scalloped edge with small pointed diamond shapes expending out from where the loops connect. Ther are no other gold bands on the plate. The edge of the salad plates are made up of 12 two inch sections all around the outside edge. These plates appear to be old. Can you please help me.
Signed Paco 62. I believe this to be a Paco Gorospe painting. Also on the back of painting is an outline "sketch" of another girl that was done with paint.
Francisco "Paco" Gorospe (10 July 1939 – 22 September 2002) was a Filipinopainter, called the "Picasso of the Philippines".
Paco Gorospe is one of the famous painters of the Philippines.[1] He was born in Binondo, Manila. He was inspired by the simple and colourful lifestyle of native tribes. He joined a local group of artists in Ermita, Manila and sold his paintings locally, gradually gaining recognition. Paco started with crayons, later using water colours but finally shifted to oil paintings.
Gorospe's first major exhibition took place in 1962 at the Washington State Fair. US sales increased and in 1964 his works were chosen to represent the Philippines at the 1964 New York World's Fair[ Other foreign exhibitions followed including Okinawa, Japan (1972), Baden-Baden, Germany (1989), Switzerland and Denmark
