I don't have much history on the item, except that it hung above my grandmother's table for at least the past 32 years. I inherited it when she passed away. I would really just like to know what it is that I've got, and how much it might be worth.

This is an upright.   The serial number on the cast iron is #81196.  How old is it and what is it worth? The cabinet is very plain and simple. 

Vase is brown with top trimmed in what appears to be gold (wearing off )it is painted on one side (under glaze) appears to be hand painted a landscape scene.  On the bottom it says Bavaria under the letters Z.S. & (unreadable) with the number 7044.

Made in London, England and is used to produce gas from fermentation process.
