I grew up with these lamps in our living room. They sat on marble topped end tables. My parents passed on, and I want these lamps to have a good home. I have no idea of the original cost, but they are in pretty good condition. One lamp suffered a crack on the swan's wing, but it was nicely reattached and the crack is not noticeable from the front (and completely unnoticeable if positioned on the table properly.) On the other lamp, the cherub's toes are sheared off, but that too isn't very noticeable due to the intricacy of the piece and the small size of the toes.
Sadly, there are few marks on the bottom. There's a number, along with the words, "Made Italy". There is a mark that resembles an inverted music symbol but I couldn't find it online.
It is an intersting piece that looks like a scene from Europe, the frame is even more fscinating to me, it is an old 'double ' frame the has real Gold( i believe) on much or the frame and someone long ago painted this ugly gold paint over it. Maybe to try and hide the real value, I have no idea
