This silver sugar bowl is tarnished, and could use some polish, but is in excellent condition. The top has a ball shaped handle. I have had it for 38 years. My grandmother had it in her cupboard and let me choose what I wanted because she no longer wanted it. On the bottom, there is a very clear imprint of: IS, INTERNATIONAL SILVER CC, SILVER SOLDERED, 05060C, 8 OZ 56 (enclosed in a square).
Lamp is made of two ceramic pieces and a metal base. Pink with gold floral designs. Has 4 groups of 3 small holes (petals i think). Has 4 pictures painted? on it. Appears to be a woman with trees in each picture. Lamp is sitting on a metal base
I have Norman Rockwell's "Looking Out To Sea" recreated in a magnificently handcrafted stained glass panel by Glassmasters expressly for The Norman Rockwell Museum. Limited edition of 9,900. Included is certificate of authenticity signed by the curator, Marshall Stoltz, of the the museum. This particular panel is number 865 of 9,900.
It is a very beautiful and very ornate tiger oak buffet with a mirror. It has a top shelf, 2 columns with small shelves on each side, then the top, 2 drawers a large open area with 2 doors and then a long drawer on the bottom. There is no trim missing no nicks. The only condition problems per se are that the bottom has been replaced with a piece of metal and at one time the 3 drawers locked but my grandmother kept losing the keys so my uncle removed the locks and they were lost. All of the handles and drawer and door pulls are there and are original.
Unsure as to where this painting is from. The copywrite, C. Taber and Co. throws me. I don't understand if it was done by someone other than Robert Swain Gifford, or if that company simply copywrited his work. If anyone knows the answers, I'd sure appreciated them!
I cannot tell what medium this is. Some say watercolors and some say oils. It has a sheen to it. But also, the carpet has a run that I would associate with watercolors.
