151/2 length, 8 inch wide vase. Looks hand sketched and painted. Raised paint. No markings I can see on vase at all. Some type of bird that resemlbes a turkey at neck of vase. Picked up at antique store....looks very old.
This pitcher is in excellent condition and appears to be made of sterling silver. Please note the maker's mark on the underside of the lid. Also, the patent # on the bottoms dates this item to the 1860s.
Also, be sure to see the picture of the paper that accompanies this item. I can read arabic, assuming that's what language this is in.
Thanks so much for any help in identifying and putting a value on this.
I wish to sell a nearly complete set of Gorham Old Colony 1896 sterling flatware in original three-layer lined handmade oak display case. Service for eight with extra flatware, specialty pieces, and a wide variety of serving pieces. More than 150 pieces in all. I have a receipt from Gorham Co date 1911 when a few additional pieces were added. Condition is very good. A few light scratches from normal wear can easily be buffed out.
