The Item has Henry Barrow ingraved on the Telescope and on the outside of the box. Henry Barrow, England/London. I have had this for a few years now, Was Handed down to me as a Good freind was collecting old stuff, Now I have it to sell. So i did a search on him and looks like this is from the 1800's.
Trying to find an approx. value of this sewing machine to resell at a resale shop to recover my cost. Its a Free-Westinghouse machine inside a medium brown cabinet. It's in excellent shape. Cord has been replaced.
Markings on machine and.or cabinet are as follows:
Style No. 1172260-A, ALB629976, NP45311, Type E, on machine
12-19-49, 826R-C were stamped on inside of wooden cabinet.
I dont have a picture to attach at this time, as Im really only hoping for a fair approximation of the value. Even if I could get a range in the value woul;d be great. Thank you kindly.
it looks like a thermometer kinda , but one end is bigger than the other , and i am told it was "dropped" into a barrel of liquid if "revenue'ers " thought it was ilegal liquor , and based on how far this item sunk , you read the numbers on the side of it , and this tells the "proof" of liquor it is...like 20 proof ., 30 proof,,,etc,,,,,IT was given to my by grandpa , and he said make sure to keep up with it....it also has a replica money bill inside the tube ,and is made of all glass.
