Please help me understand the history, approximate date, general value and any other information about this display case. The maker is wylie and lochead, see pic of label. I cant find much online other than they opened in 1829 and were bought in the mid 1900's. nothing on this piece or anything similar. it has 2 glass shelves that go in it and the backboard is wallpapered. The legs have a nice french style curve to them with good detail on them. Help would be great!   David and Tara

Sideboard Buffet

Category
Other
Condition
Good
Description

I do not know what this item is exactly called. I cannot find another to match it to. Is it a sideboard buffet or a hutch? I would like to know something of its making. I brought this from my ex husband as he needed some money. He said it was his grandmothers that she transpoirted from accross the plains when she migrated west. The beveled glass is original. I may be interested in selling this piece. I appreciate any information that anyone would give me.

Vintage African Americana Pickle and Child Salt & Pepper Shakers

Category
Ceramics and Porcelains
Condition
Good
Description

I bought these at a local antique shop and now am wondering if they are legitimate or not. They are kiln-fired and shiny and no wear is visible on the top. I'd never seen anything like it so I picked them up. They are two little black children on a pickle. That is the oddest thing! They aren't perfectly painted and there is wear on the bottom but no distinguishing marks, except for corks that plug the hole in the bottom. The corks do not look old. The bottom is unpainted, rough ceramic. I'm wondering if this is just a replica.
