I was told this leather telephone case was from WWI but I don't know anything about this case. I believe the leather is horsehide though. It looks like something used in the military though and I would like to know if it's american or british etc? As you can see from the pics the inside is near perfect condition and the outside of the case very good. I DON'T HAVE THE TELEPHONE, JUST THE CASE. The inside has leather over wood and the entire case appears to be leather over wood. Would appreciate any info including value. Thank you.
This is a black trunk constructed of "wood veneer throughout for strength and service" according to the tag inside. The tag also says "Horn Luggage manufactured by Rice-Stix - St. Louis, MO. The trunk has 1 removable divided tray that sits at the top of the inside area. The latches are in good shape also. The handles seem to be made of leather and are quite sturdy.
Dresser has 6 drawers, 2 larger, and 4 small. It also has a cabinet section with a removable shelf. All drawers work properly, and door opens and closes like it should. There is a mirror that attaches on the back of the dresser. Mirror spans the entire width of the dresser.
This is a very unique item. Maybe the only one of its kind.
I don't know too much about it.But i cant find any pictures about either.
If you have any ideas/answers about this item please give it to me..
