This is a large round top trunk made of pine with cast iron handles and hinges. The antique shop where it was purchased labeled it as being from Germany, circa 1830. There are some condition issues, as one would expect in a piece of this age: a mouse hole in one of the bottom corners, a detached lid hinge. I would love to know more about this trunk and it's possible value.
This was recently brought back from Germany, and was given to me by someone who aquired it from the home of famous German Otto Reihs. I know very little about the wine other then that. Labels are shown in pictures below.
