Metal in excellent condition. Tried to clean with tarnex. Parts immediately turned to silver, most remained dark. Scroll pattern surrounding it. 4 legs surround it look like colonial figures standing. Date is imprinted on one foot.
Hello, my name is Andrew. I was going through an apartment building basement of a house that was abandoned today and found a bike that has "Swinger I" on the plate that goes over the chain and gear. It has a 70 Bendix coaster break. It is a single speed banana seat with long handle bars. Paint is in good condition. I don't know anything other than that. As far as I can tell, it seems to be in pretty good shape with little rust. If you could give me any info you might have, i would really appreciate it.
Sadly we do not not much about this item. It was given to my fiance from his grandmother. Each handle is hand-carved. She said it was ivory, but we aren't sure of that. The metal is decorated and it is in the original box. Several pictures are attached for better description.
...We were also told that Leopold Schmidt went into partnership witha few gentlmen & had a company by the name of "Hygeian Spring Water Company"so? Leopold Schmidt had several breweries thru out the United States & in other foreign countries as well~...
This was given to me by Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul and Mary. Someone saw it and immediately wanted to buy it. So, I thought I should at least try to find out what its value may actually be.
