Leon "Peck" Clark white oak baskets

Category
Folk Art
Condition
Excellent
Description

These baskets I purchased from the artist and he signed them in pencil when I purchased them in Mississippi. They are in excellent condition. The signature on the square one has faded more than the rectangle one but is still visible.

Mr. Clark was invited to come to the White House to display his talent and is revered as one of the finest southern folk art artist. He learned his craft in Mississippi and cut the oak slats himself.

The rectangular basket is an egg basket.

Nippon Moriage Porcelain Handled Vase - Snow Geese

Category
Ceramics and Porcelains
Condition
Excellent
Description

The vase was in my grandmother's curio cabinet until 1973 when she passed. The vase then came to my father and then to me. It has been a favorite object - protected from damage, chipping or cracking. To my knowledge it has never undergone repair. There are 5 snow geese in flight on the front and 4 snow geese on the back. The handles are decorative with moriage detailing. I do presently have the item up for aution on ebay, I apologize, I've never sold on ebay or used this appraisal service so I'm not sure how to create the link.
The item number on ebay is 260636920926
