This urn/vase was given to me by my father around 1960, he acquired it at an estate sale....don't know anything else about it...would like to sell it if price is right.
It is the inside "song playing" part of an old cylinder music box with the sharp "pins" and needles that make very beautiful music when the cylinder is turned. I think it is made of brass and weighs about 30 pounds. They were made in the late 1800's. It is missing one needle and I do not have the box part that it goes it. It still works, unsure what song it plays.
