Found this years ago stuck in a old dirt basement up in the rafters.
Not sure what it is but looks like one of those "ball and cup" toys.
as you see it has crosses on side and has the markings "MAY" then theres a nail...then 676" sooo, does that mean "1676"? and the nail covers the 1? and on the bottom of that it says "THOS,D,EGAN"

Any input would be wonderful.

Old binoculars maybe field glasses or opry use. looks very old fancy trim ,gold looking metal . works good can see up close. looks very old to me. about 3" x 3.5" like to know more about it and whats it is worth . can email more pictures ,site wont allow but one picture for some reason. thanks rb

it looks like it was hammered by hand. it was specially made for great grand parents who are polish and lived in poland, then brought to michigan and passed down the generations. complete brass very heavy and large like it would have been in a castle at some time. and very pretty
