This carriage has some very ornate carvings in the pewter. There is a squirrel perched on the front/top of the carriage. It is beautiful. I know nothing more about it.
Painting appears to be an early Laura Coombes painting. It is done is what appears to be a thinly applied oil. The frame, which appears to be the original frame, is covered with a curved glass. On the back of the frame is an authentication stamp, which reads "Quality and workmanship guaranteed,
International Art Co., Chicago, IL"

I bought this at an estate sale. I think it has seen a lot in it's day as it has pitting on the lid and many tiny scratches from hotel use. It is heavier than many other silver plated pieces I own. There is a spoon slot in the lid.
My dad had it locked away and I will have possession of it in a month or so. It meant a lot to him. When the Nazis took all of the von der Lippe monies during World War 2, my great grandma was able to hide it. It meant a lot to her. My father recently passed away and I will be receiving the remains of his estate in the very near future. I will add pictures at that time. It has a lot of gold on it, more than I've seen on any other hertel jacob. I haven't been able to find one like it anywhere. It is not perfectly round, the designs kind of stick out in places. It has a lot of character.
