This was found boxed in a family members belongings. A note was included that said: "Dear Verlee, I hope that this in some small way will help to repay some of your kindness. The lace is very old, older by a couple hundred years than the body of the Kimona, or so I was told by an appraisor a few years ago. Your humble & obedient servant ~ Ellen" It is unknown when this was written but Verlee was a Great Aunt born in early 1900. The Kimono was boxed with a pair of shoes as well. Needs a good cleaning.

The first painting, is The Peasants made in 1978.
The second painting, Children in Flower field we call it, not date
The third, is religious. No date. They need a clean up but they are intact, from tearing, cuts, holes, scrapes of anykind. They are carefully kept.
We would like to know more about the artist, what they could be worth,
anything info at all, is welcome. Not sure if we will sell them eventually, we are thinking about it. Thank you.

Carved walnut shell with buddhas and dragon motif. Inside carved "seed pod", on a wooden base, has buddha holding what looks like a bat. Walnut shell in perfect condition, inside seed pod has age crack and looks like the it may have been stained to match base and is now coming off due to taking the shell off.
Saw something similar on Antiques Roadshow without base.

I am hoping someone can give me an approx. appraisal. It does work!
